Chicago Foundation for Women:
One of the largest women’s funds in the world, Chicago Foundation for Women envisions a community in which the voices and potential of all women and girls are fully realized. The Foundation is dedicated to effecting social justice by providing opportunities and promoting solutions for women and girls across metropolitan Chicago. According to the Women’s Funding Network (WFN), Chicago Foundation for Women is the first women’s fund in the United States to develop affinity groups of diverse women to lead community outreach efforts, setting a national precedent. In nearly twenty years of existence, the Foundation has become a respected Chicago institution and has awarded more than 2,000 grants totaling $11 million to hundreds of organizations serving women and girls. In addition to raising and distributing funds, Chicago Foundation for Women provides public and grantee education, peer-to-peer networking, capacity building, leadership development, and serves as the premier convener of women in Chicago.
