Global Chicago is delighted to present its new website! The new site has been redesigned to focus on the original mission of Global Chicago: highlighting Chicago’s global assets for the world and Chicagoans alike, and providing a unique resource for people exploring our global city.The new site offers smooth navigation through features such as:
- Searchable database for globally oriented organizations, businesses, and academic institutions in Chicago;
- Calendar of international events taking place in Chicago;
- News articles about Chicago as a global city;
- Listing of published reports about Chicago as a global city;
- Searchable database of foreign policy experts in the Midwest; and
- Links for exploring Chicago.
Some little-used and out-of-date features have been removed and new pages have been added, including:
- A page dedicated to resources working with immigrant communities;
- Information on The Chicago Council on Global Affairs’ Global Midwest Initiative;
- Links to Chicago’s presence around the world;
- Links to translation services, language schools, and career opportunities in Chicago; and
Coming soon:
- Local Giving, Global Impact: a searchable database of local organizations engaged in international philanthropy and development.
